Stay safe readers, aftershocks are likely to continue after today’s earthquake for some time.
Geonet rated the quake as severe. It was one of the largest since 2011, and people from across the South Island reported feeling the ground shaking. Aftershocks of magnitude 3.5 continued to rumble across the city during the afternoon.
The earthquake comes just a week before the fifth anniversary of the 6.3 magnitude February 22, 2011 quake that killed 185 people and flattened large swaths of the city, including the cathedral. Christchurch is still in the process of rebuilding.

What a shame the earthquake recovery minister had brown sludge thrown on him today at the commerative event ,I guess some people aren’t happy with the way things are going in Christchurch ,who would’ve known.
I think Gods quite dissapointed in N.Z ,earthquakes ,moronic violence and poisoned water may be just the start, watch out for locusts and fire and brimstone next .
Then the Stay Puft Marshmallow man will come and finish the job.
I think he died in 1984
I shall summon him from the Marshmallow spirit world, and he will represent and embody my aggrieved tortured soul and splatter everyone in white goo while pulling that hilarious evil smile hahahahaa.
You go ,also wanted to mention if you need to escape the Shakey town you are welcome to come park up here on my property Kapiti Coast ,not many job opportunities here but the sand dunes seem to absorb the earthquakes
Cheers. Many hot babes on the beach there?
Hot babes in summer, toothless ones in winter ,there is work on the transmission gully motorway if you can stomach the low wages paid .
Also should mention ,this area is a fast growing place equivalent to Nelson or Tauranga ,if you can get a job here it’s arguably the best place to live in N.Z ,I haven’t had a whole lot of luck with the ladies however this is a lot to do with the fact that I work dawn to dusk at my own business and of course my bad attitude lol.
Cant be worse than the wages here. Usually starting at $16 for back breaking work. What type of business do you have?
Building ,buy and fix ,flip houses
I’m crap at stuff like that. I worked for my uncle when I was younger on a building site, (I absolutely hated it,) and he called me “a useless twat” haha. So one day I didn’t turn up for work and went shopping instead and he sacked me. The end.
It’s not for everyone ,although many people believe they are property developers just because they were in the right place at the right time and made a buck or two,in Auckland the main topic of conversation is how much ones house is worth, pretty boring.I would love to see a major property crash just to wipe the smirks off their faces however it’s a supply and demand situation and so long as the government keeps providing an endless supply of cashed up immigrants the house prices will remain high .
How was your early morning wake up call this morning ?
It shook my balls side to side and threw me out the window while I was eating my oatmeal.
Hope you are doing ok. I moved out of Christchurch a couple of years ago but still carry the psychological scars of all that shit. I felt like throwing up when I heard the news yesterday.
Was sitting here at my computer as usual when it happened. House shook, table shook, widescreen TV almost fell over, my beloved TV haha.
Was a big shake but I’m so sick of them. Another reason to stay away from NZ.
