Our readers may remember this site has been under attack from attack from members of reddit newzealand, specifically r/area64 members (headed by mods from r/newzealand) who tried to hack into this site a few months ago. Is what we publish here so threatening to their peace of mind?
So it is with great sadness we report today that reddit is actually down. Here’s how Twitter celebrated the occasion

what’s reddit, oh and why should we care?
I don’t know much about Reddit. However, I was concerned by the notion that there are groups of people out there seeking to hack into this site and discredit people who use this forum to discuss New Zealand in a free and open manner. The idea that harmless freedom of speech is something to be feared and steps taken to prevent it, disturbs me.
