American rap artist A$AP Rocky (AKA Rakim Mayers) has taken to social media to reassure his +1 million followers he was still handsome after he was attacked in the Pullman Hotel, Auckland following one of his concerts.
The 27 year old artist was punched in the face after he tried to defend three women he was sharing an elevator car with. Three men tried to get into the lift with them and assaulted the American rapper. witnesses said the men screamed ‘F**k A$AP!’ as they punched and kicked the star who was returning after a performance in the city of Auckland.
A$AP Rocky Attacked in New Zealand Elevator: A$AP Rocky responded to the rumors on Twitter (Feb. 24). “ASSAULTED?,” he wrote, “N—AS GET SHOT EVERY DAY B, HA.”
TMZ Reported According to sources way down under … A$AP was at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland around 3 AM local time. He has a concert there Thursday night. We’re told he was getting into an elevator with some girls, and 3 guys wanted to get in also — but A$AP told ’em there was no room left, and then it was on.
We’re told the guys jumped the rapper, punching him in the head and face … while he tried to protect the girls.
Witnesses say the suspects knew who they were dealing with because they were yelling … “F**k A$AP!” Hotel security eventually broke it up until cops arrived and nabbed one suspect — a 35-year-old local who was booked for assault and resisting police.” source
Police officer stabbed with broken bottle, A$AP team member injured
Police charged an unnamed 35 year old local man with assault and resisting arrest. Inspector Peter Raines confirmed that a police officer was injured in the brawl and taken to hospital with a wound from a broken bottle. Witnesses said two people were arrested. A member of A$AP Rocky’s team was taken to hospital and released later in the morning.
A$AP Rocky is in New Zealand as part of his Australasian tour, two years after his first visit when he performed in Wellington and Auckland. Let’s hope the rest of his tour is without incident and he’s able to put New Zealand’s culture of violence behind him.
Rakim Mayers, better known by his stage name ASAP Rocky, is an American hip hop recording artist, record producer, director and actor from Harlem, New York. He is a member of the hip hop group A$AP Mob, from which he adopted his moniker. He had just completed a string of performances in Australia without incident before traveling to New Zealand.

I struggle to care about this one ,most rappers promote a culture of violence ,live by the sword die by the sword,enjoy your expensive hotel rooms and available sex groupies ,he’s the in between rich rapper and poor rapper ,gotta have a security detail these days .
