Connor Morris

Tributes to Connor Morris, the young man who was killed in a brutal street attack last week, have flowed in to a Facebook page set up in his memory by his mother.

Police are still maintaining that although Connor was a patched member of the East chapter of the Head Hunters gang his attack wasn’t perpetrated by another gang. That somehow strangers are plucked off the street and hacked to death at random. That is more alarming than if it had been gang related. His friends say police have already made arrests but have suppressed the details for fear of reprisals.

Meanwhile, West Auckland police have yet to go public with the news of any arrests in connection with his murder, the latest in a string of recent slayings to have impacted on this area of Auckland. But, the community appears to know who may be responsible and feelings are running high. This is from Morris’ memorial Facebook page:

 “Renae Stroobie: Your fucking hiding him,and wondering how your going to approach something that’s beyond your pig powers,arent you ment to be the biggest gang on earth PIGS? DO YOUR FUCKING JOB! Its insulting you have not made an arrest that’s known to the community AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE FAMILY & MILLIE…..TRUTH IS THE TRUTH AND ALWAYS COMES OUT!”

One week ago today my partner was hit from behind with a machete in an unprovoked attack. He passed on the 3.8.14
no words can describe how hard this has hit myself and his family.
There has been an outpouring of support from not only the west Auckland community where we live but the whole country.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent flowers, dropped us food, dog food, cards, gifts it’s all appreciated so so much.
Connor allways encouraged me so much with my page, and I will be continuing my journey to a healthier me, but it’s just hard for me right now I’m taking things one day at a time.
I’m so lucky to have his family and all the amazing people in my life supporting me.

Chris, Cymmion, Izzy, Gabby, Millie, Tonto & I are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all who have taken the time to like, comment and share all the precious memories that have poured in for our beloved Connor.
As a Mother, it was easy to love Connor, but I had no idea of just how many others felt the same way.
Chris and I are humbled by the thousands of lives who were touched by knowing our son and how much of a positive influence he had on those he came across.
It has been comforting to share all of your memories, of which each and every one is helping us through this impossible time.
We love and thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Our deepest condolences are extended to Mr Morris’ family and friends, may his murderer be brought to justice soon. No other families should have to go through this again.
