Another quake has rocked Christchurch this morning, details from Geonet.org are as follows. The 4.5 magnitude was the second quake in the area this morning and was felt from Christchurch to Timaru.

The United States Geological Survey had reported a larger 5.9 earthquake off the coast of New Zealand in the Auckland Islands less than 24 hours previously and a 5.1 Kermadec quake earlier in the week, details of both appear below.
