Memorial For Liberty Templeman

The Bay Chronicle is carrying a story about a group of teens planning a memorial to murdered British teenager, Liberty Templeman, who died at the hands of a youth in Kerikeri in 2008.

“To fundraise for the memorial, they plan to hold a concert on October 16 at The Centre, where Libby performed as a member of the Kerikeri Players just three weeks before she was murdered and where her funeral was held. The students have initiated the project as part of their BP Enterprise Project entry…”

Among the performers will be Liberty’s brother, Bill, who is to play with his band Billy’s Tree House.

We wish them every success with the concert and with erecting a fitting monument to Liberty’s memory.
