“Police are hunting for a man who robbed the Ding Dong Dang Dairy at knife point on Auckland’s North Shore yesterday.

Detective Shane Page of North Shore police said the masked man entered the dairy around 12.30 yesterday and used a large knife to threaten the owner and escape with the tobacco.

“The dairy owners were shocked by the incident but otherwise are unharmed,” he said.

Police said he fled through Monarch Park and through Monarch and Eban avenues.

The man left behind a knife, leather jacket and comic patched hoodie, police said.

He is described as Caucasian and reasonably tall with a slim build.

He was wearing sunglasses, red coloured cloth or bandana, a dark brown jacket, a hoodie and light blue jeans.”
