British Government Updates its Travel Advice for New Zealand to Include Terrorism and Road Accidents

The British government has recently updated its travel advice for New Zealand, it now includes the risk of terrorism. It also advises there is no requirement for road insurance and no right to claim compensation (source)

Motor vehicle insurance is not a legal requirement in New Zealand. This is because New Zealand law has removed the right of accident victims to sue a third party in the event of an accident. See Road travel
